Clinical LC-MS/MS
Development and validation of targeted LC-MS/MS methods for laboratory medicine — small molecules, steroids, organic acids and biomarkers of inherited metabolic disorders.
Clinical mass spectrometry · Olomouc
We develop and apply LC-MS/MS, metabolomics and lipidomics workflows to understand disease mechanisms, discover clinically relevant biomarkers and support the translation of omics technologies into laboratory medicine.

What we do
We combine clinical laboratory expertise with targeted mass spectrometry, metabolomics and lipidomics to study disease mechanisms and develop clinically meaningful analytical workflows.
Development and validation of targeted LC-MS/MS methods for laboratory medicine — small molecules, steroids, organic acids and biomarkers of inherited metabolic disorders.
Targeted metabolomic workflows for the investigation of human disease, biochemical phenotyping and translational biomarker discovery.
Quantitative lipidomics focused on inflammation, infection, cardiovascular risk and disease-associated remodelling of lipid pathways.
Integration of metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics and clinical data using robust statistics, visualisation and biomarker modelling.
Clinical questions
We apply mass spectrometry-based omics to clinically relevant questions where lipid and metabolite profiles may improve disease understanding, patient stratification or laboratory diagnostics.
Distinguishing infectious and sterile inflammation using lipid and metabolite signatures in clinically relevant matrices.
LC-MS/MS workflows for selective screening, diagnostics and biochemical characterisation of inborn errors of metabolism.
Lipid-based risk stratification with a focus on ceramides, phospholipids and disease-associated lipid remodelling.
Multi-omics profiling of inflammatory bowel disease and immune-mediated conditions using metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics.
Metabolic and lipidomic changes associated with surgery, stress response and clinical recovery.
From spectra to insight
Every measurement is also a data problem. We build reproducible pipelines that turn complex LC-MS/MS output into interpretable, clinically useful information.
